Trekell knows stretching your own linen can be a pain,
but that inconvenience shouldn't keep you from using one of the best painting
surfaces on the market. Our fine, portrait-grade linen imported from Belgium --
home of the linen-making masters -- is intricately weaved and properly prepared
to offer maximum durability and longevity, meaning whatever work you place upon
it will hold and last through the ages. And, since this special linen is paired
with a versatile partner as its skeleton, you also get the virtues of a George
H. Simkins wood panel: the beautiful Baltic birch and poplar; the careful and
exacting construction that could only be accomplished in our USA-based factory;
the sturdy rigidity that won't flex underneath your brush, thus providing
greater confidence than a frame; the ability to showcase brushstrokes with an
unmatched clarity; and the vibrancy and end-to-end, unimpeded space that's as
wide open as your imagination. First, this 1" version is shellacked,
then the linen is glued to the front panel with Lineco Neutral pH Adhesive.
Finally, the excess linen is wrapped and stapled to the back of the cradle, a
technique magnifying this already-robust panel's strength. It's also pre-primed
for acrylic, enabling you to get painting as soon as you get it. And, you get
the complete package: the professional-grade excellence of a Trekell panel
along with luxurious linen. It doesn't get better than this.
