I use vario us types of Trekell brushes in my artwork. I usually begin with a bristle brush for the
under painting or scrub in, then use smaller Red Sable series brushes to put in
detail and final glazing or scumbling.
Most of my work is landscape paintings, with some wildlife work. I use water miscible oils and the Red Sable
brushes seem to stand up well with those paints. I also use Trekell Handmade Linseed Oil Soap
for final clean up to keep the brushes in optimal condition. I prefer to use either Brights or Flats, even
for smaller detail work. I like the brush
stroke that a flat brush gives, as opposed to a round or filbert.
My pallet is currently:
Quinacridone Red Cad Orange Cad Yellow Pale Titanium White Ultramarine Blue Sap Green or Viridian Dioxinine Purple Black or Raw Umber
