Watercolorists, Trekell has been thinking about you, especially if you paint in a lot of new locations because you never know when inspiration will strike. After the advent of our ultra-transportable Gatorfoam panel, Trekell's next innovative leap was certain: uniting Gatorfoam with watercolor paper. Using the solvent-free and stainless Beva® film as the strong adhesive, this new line of Gatorfoam panels features Arches 260 lb./356 gsm cold press, acid-free paper as its surface. Arches has been a mainstay in the materials market since 1492, developing a tried-and-true approach out of their homebase, the Arches Mill, in Lorraine, France. That's over five centuries of perfected excellence. The final product is our reward for their hard work: The paper's 100 percent cotton quality can take on tons of water without bending, buckling, or breaking. When combined with Gatorfoam, the end result is a perfect match: a panel with supreme archival abilities and incredible durability, but one with an always-surprising, light-as-a-feather grace. Even if you're not a watercolorist try one out, experiment in new environs, and see what potential this panel can unlock.

Phenomenal Panels for Waterbased Media
I've worked a lot with water color panels, and Trekells watercolor panel with gatorfoam truly blows all of them out of the water. Not only is the paper super absorbent, taking on layer upon layer without warping, but the sturdiness of the panel itself is unsurpassed. Great for plein air painting, strong, yet light. I recommend this panel to all of my gouache/watercolor artist friends.

Great for travel
Bought the 5x7 and 6x8. These small sizes are perfect for travel. The gatorfoam is thin yet sturdy and the panel absorbs water quick so you don't have to wait for drying between layers.
