Like all Trekell premium synthetic brushes, Crimson Taklon features a blend of varying filament diameters with carefully tapered tips that more closely mimic the performance of natural brush hair. This advanced filament construction provides excellent paint pickup, smooth paint flow, and responsive handling that cheaper synthetic brushes with uniform, blunt-cut filaments simply can't match.

What sets Crimson Taklon apart is its increased firmness. Compared to our Golden Taklon series, the stiffer filament provides greater control when pushing, shaping, and manipulating heavier-bodied paints. Whether you're working with acrylic, oil, or impasto techniques, Crimson Taklon maintains its shape while delivering crisp, controlled strokes and exceptional snap.

Each brush is made with our Thermyx™ filament. During manufacturing, the bristles are heat-set to create built-in shape memory that helps the brush maintain its structure, edge, and performance over time.

If the bristles begin to lose their shape, a quick dip in simmering water can help restore them closer to their original form. For best results, reshape the bristles while warm and allow them to dry in place. Using Trekell Brush Restorer while the bristles dry will help the bristles hold their shape longer between painting sessions.
