A Company Aligned with the Artists We Empower
Trekell did not start out as the art supply company it is today. When Courtney began working with the company in the early 2000s, the business was still evolving. Over the years, she got to know the artists who used Trekell products, and many of those relationships turned into real friendships. Spending time with artists, seeing what they created, and hearing firsthand what they needed began to shape the direction of the company.
That became an important part of how Trekell grew. Instead of deciding what artists should want, we listened to what they were actually asking for. Their ideas, frustrations, and feedback have inspired countless products and helped us understand where we could do things differently or better.
Courtney also wanted Trekell to feel welcoming to artists regardless of what or how they chose to create. Art does not have to fit a particular style, trend, or definition to have value. It can be traditional, unusual, experimental, highly technical, a little weird, or completely personal. That individuality is something we have always wanted to encourage, not define.
That relationship with artists is still a big part of how we operate today. We listen when someone tells us they wish a certain brush existed, when a product could work better, or when they have an idea we have never considered. Some of Trekell’s best ideas have started with conversations just like those.
The same thinking applies to quality. If we are going to ask artists to trust Trekell with something as personal as their work, the products we make have to earn that trust. We care about the materials, how they perform, and whether they actually do what artists need them to do. For us, making great art supplies and supporting the people who use them go hand in hand.
Today, Trekell is about more than the products we sell. We want to create a place where artists can discover great tools, share their work, learn from each other, try something new, and connect with people who share their love of creativity. Whether you have been creating for decades or are just getting started, you are part of the community we are continuing to build.
We are still listening, still learning, and still evolving alongside the artists around us. We are here to make art supplies artists can rely on, support the people who use them, and keep building Trekell alongside the creative community that continues to shape us.
Creativity Amplified.
