Smooth like a baby's behind!
I recently ordered an ACM panel from another art supply company...mainly because Trekell didn't make one that large. It arrived with burrs on all the sides...VERY dangerous to use. When I checked with Trekell before ordering three smaller ACM panels from them, they assured me that would not be a problem with theirs. They arrived and, sure enough, they were as smooth as a baby's behind. I want to order more, but, evidently, they are not making them right now. I hope they are able to start production soon and in larger sizes. These are GREAT panels. I'm seriously thinking of switching from hardboard to aluminum! Great work, Trekell!

I love these panels
These panels are great with an amazing price as well. The ultra sooth finish is perfect for me. I lightly scuffed the surface with a 00 fine steel wool, simply to give the panel just enough grip while allowing me the smoothness i was looking for to work some abstract decalcomania backgrounds to paint over. I tried one with acrylics (the blue one) and the other in oils (purple one). Both hold up great. I highly recommend these panels.

Aluminum Composite Panels for Oil painting
I primed the panel with Gamblin oil primer. At the end of the project, I was really impressed with the surface quality of the finished paintings.

A great painting surface
I recently purchased the Aluminum Composite Panels from Trekell. I prep the panels with Gamblin oil primer. I really love the surface. As an oil painter, I’m interested in the archival quality.
