Trekell Gesso Primed Gallery Profile Panels combine a professionally prepared painting surface with a deep basswood cradle for a finished, contemporary presentation that can be displayed with or without a frame.

This 12" x 12" panel features a 1/8" tempered hardboard face mounted to a 1 1/2" basswood cradle for an overall depth of approximately 1 5/8". The painting surface is sealed with Golden GAC 100 and hand-rolled with four coats of acrylic gesso, creating a lightly textured surface with a consistent tooth.

Designed for oil and acrylic painting, the panel requires no additional sealing or priming. Its rigid construction provides a stable painting surface, while the deep gallery profile makes it ready for display once your artwork is finished.

George H. Simkins, father of Trekell artist Greg Simkins, worked with Trekell to develop these gallery-profile wood panels, creating a rigid painting surface with a deep cradle designed for both painting and presentation.
