Many explorers searched high and low for the Fountain of Youth, but Trekell found the secret formula... well, as long as you're a brush. Offered in a long-lasting 4 ounce glass jar, Trekell Brush Restorer will lengthen the life of your most trusted tools, freeing up your brush budget to be applied to other buys. After cleaning your brush with a brush soap, the brush restorer should be applied and left to dry for the best effect. Trekell Soap and Brush Restorer: time has met its match.
Incredible product. Really does help the brushes be in good shape!
This product promises to be a miracle revitalization of your brushes and most reviews corroborate this. It's...okay. It's about the best you can expect when factoring in the physical reality of what you must do to your brushes to use them. I used this product with brushes impacted by oil paint use. This brush restorer gathers and smoothes the bristles of brushes up noticeably, but does not alter the damage at the base that makes brushes flair out. It looks smoother on new brushes. The crux of the matter is that it's necessary to break up the conditioner and essentially return the brush to it's original state to actually use it, so it's not...really all that practical. The lid of the packaging I received (hexagonal glass jar) is especially vexing and doesn't really settle fully when closed. The solution coagulates a bit on the inside and outside of the neck, though that doesn't functionally make much difference other than a weird feel. I very much like the hexagonal shape of the glass jar and it smells, I sh*t you not, *absolutely incredible*. A little goes a long way and this jar isn't very costly, so to you, dear reader, I advise just adding it to the cart if you're curious and you need one more thing to get yourself to the free shipping amount. In my experience, Trekell's linseed oil soap does more for the longevity of one's brushes than making them look gelled up only when you don't need them to be flexible for use. -R *disclaimer: I haven't used this for an extended amount of time and thus cannot speak for or against observations made from long term use.
I have painted for a long time but mostly as a hobby artist and recently I've gotten a lit more serious about my art. I had older paintbrushes I thought were done for but the linseed oil soap and the brush restorer combined gave life back to them and I can get a lot more use out of them. I bought the sample sizes but I'm now purchasing full sizes!
Good. Didn't clean a stiffened brush well.
Game Changer Plus
This is a great product. It really saves the tip of my brushes. I paint with acrylic in a fairly tight fashion, so a good point is a necessity.
