DESCRIPTION
A Trekell Baltic Birch Panel checks all of the boxes: strong, firm, reliable, affordable, low maintenance, and highly archival. This 1/4” version is primed with Gamblin Oil Painting Ground. This revolutionary primer is not only safe to use, but brings out the best of your oil paints. Due to its “closed” surface, it adheres to oils instead of penetrating them, forming physical (mechanical) and molecular (chemical) bonds. This gives Gamblin Oil Ground a unique non-absorbent property, one that helps keep the refined linseed binder in oil colors together with the pigment. In short, it improves paint adhesion and intensifies color saturation.
