Trekell Paint & Palette Knife – Style 132 Long Spatula
The Trekell Style 132 Long Spatula features a long, narrow blade designed for spreading, sweeping, and moving paint across larger areas. At 4" long, it provides significantly more working surface than Trekell's smaller painting knives, making it especially useful when you want to cover more ground with a single stroke.
The long sides can be used to spread paint, pull extended strokes, create straight edges, and build broad areas of texture. Its rounded tip provides another way to work, allowing artists to create larger dabs, rounded marks, and softer areas of paint application.
The flexible stainless steel blade provides a balance of spring and control for both mixing and painting. A 4 1/2" rubber Trekell handle provides a comfortable grip during extended studio use.

What Is a Long Spatula Palette Knife Best For?
The Long Spatula is particularly useful when you want to move paint across a larger area without using a wide blade. Use the length of the blade to spread and sweep color, pull longer strokes, smooth areas of paint, or create extended bands of texture. The rounded end can also be loaded with paint to create larger dabs and individual marks.
Its combination of length and relatively narrow 3/4" width makes it useful for larger paintings where you want broader coverage while still maintaining control over the width of your marks.
Care: Wipe the blade clean promptly after use and avoid allowing paint or mediums to dry around the base of the blade.
