Like all Trekell premium synthetic brushes, Protégé features a blend of varying filament diameters with carefully tapered tips that more closely mimic the performance of natural brush hair. Combined with our specialized Thermyx™ filament inspired by natural Kolinsky sable, these brushes provide exceptional paint pickup, smooth paint flow, crisp detail, and responsive handling with a firmer feel and stronger snap than natural hair.

The Round shape is engineered with the full belly and fine needle-point tip found in traditional Kolinsky sable brushes. This design allows the brush to hold a generous amount of paint while maintaining exceptional precision, making it easy to transition from delicate details and fine lines to broader, expressive strokes with a simple change in pressure.

Built to Last

Each brush is made with Trekell's Thermyx™ filament. During manufacturing, the bristles are heat-set to create built-in shape memory that helps the brush maintain its clean point, snap, and performance over time.

If the bristles begin to lose their shape, dip them in simmering water for a few seconds to help restore them closer to their original form. Reshape the bristles while warm and allow them to dry in place.

For even longer-lasting performance, apply Trekell Brush Restorer while the bristles dry to help them hold their shape between painting sessions.
